With a length of 1562 mm and a diameter of 15 mm, it is made of glass and designed for Puro water sterilizers. Using ultraviolet rays, it can eliminate 100% of the bacteria in the water, ensuring effective disinfection without altering its natural composition. Water flows around the UV lamp, exposing itself to UV light for a sufficient time to destroy microorganisms. We also advise against looking directly at the light, as it can damage the retina of the eye.
The Puro UV lamp can be used in various applications, such as drinking water treatment plants, domestic and industrial water purification systems, the food sector, and the chemical/pharmaceutical sector.
For optimal performance, the water should be as clear as possible, without turbidity, and with minimal amounts of iron, manganese, chlorides, etc. These elements can contaminate and cloud the quartz tube, reducing its efficiency. This quartz tube, a transparent barrier that separates water from the electrical components of the germicidal lamp, should be purchased along with the lamp. Regular cleaning of the quartz tube (every 3-6 months) can easily resolve this issue.
This lamp has a lifespan of 9000 hours, so we recommend replacing it once a year. After 12 months, the UV disinfection light weakens and can no longer guarantee its full bactericidal effectiveness.
When replacing the lamp, the control box should be turned off and should not be switched back on until the new lamp has been installed.
