Vontron membrane 4″ ULP21 4040
The Vontron ULP21-4040 membrane is an ultra-low pressure polyamide composite membrane designed for water desalination. It operates at about two-thirds of the pressure required by conventional low-pressure membranes, which reduces costs related to pumps, pipelines, and overall operating expenses of reverse osmosis systems. This membrane is suitable for desalinating water sources with NaCl concentrations below 2000 ppm, such as surface water, underground water, tap water, and municipal water. It is widely used in applications like pure water production, food processing, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The membrane has an active area of 90 square feet and provides an average permeate flow of 2400 gallons per day with a stable rejection rate of 99%. It is tested under a pressure of 150 psi with a feed water temperature of 25°C and a sodium chloride concentration of 1500 ppm. It operates efficiently within a pH range of 3 to 10 during continuous use and 2 to 12 during chemical cleaning, making it versatile and reliable for various industrial applications.
